montreal, canada & beyond

The small moments are where your story lives. I am a Montreal family and couples photographer documenting real connection with a natural, documentary approach and an editorial feel. My sessions are relaxed and guided in a gentle way so real moments can unfold naturally. Based in Montreal, Quebec, I photograph families and couples in a way that feels timeless, cinematic, and deeply personal.

MILICA MICIC

I didn’t start photographing because I loved cameras. I started because I’ve always been curious about people. The stories they carry, the relationships that shape them, and the quiet moments that become meaningful over time.

That curiosity first led me to study psychology before photography became my profession. It shaped the way I observe, listen, and connect with the people I photograph.

Growing up in Europe and later spending several years living in Hawaii also shaped how I see the world. Moving between such different environments taught me to notice how light behaves in different places and how atmosphere can change the feeling of an image.

What I value most about this work, though, is the connection. I love getting to know the people I photograph, hearing their stories, and understanding what this moment in their lives means to them.

Each session is something we shape together. I enjoy the collaborative part of the process, talking through ideas and planning a session that reflects who you are.

At the heart of it, what I love most is creating art that holds a moment and preserves it in a way that still feels true years later. Today I photograph couples and families across Montreal, creating images that feel natural, intentional, and deeply personal.

I don’t chase perfection or rigid formulas. Every session is a little different. I embrace whatever the day offers, shifting light, changing weather, the quiet in-between moments that appear when people feel at ease. The result is imagery that feels natural, intentional, and timeless.

The in-between moments, glances, crinkle-eye smiles, goosebumps.

My work sits somewhere between documentary storytelling and editorial composition. I’m drawn to images that feel expressive rather than perfectly polished. A bit of blur, visible grain, or an unexpected composition often carries more atmosphere than something overly refined.

I work with the light and environment that already exist rather than trying to control every detail. Sessions are gently guided so you never feel unsure of what to do, but there is always space for things to unfold naturally.
