That's completely normal, and it's never something you need to worry about.
My sessions are child-led which means there's no expectation for children to sit still, smile on cue, or perform for the camera. Instead, we follow their pace, giving them space to play, explore, cuddle, and simply be themselves.
What if my children don't cooperate during the session?
Family photography sessions can take place outdoors, in your home, or in a natural light studio in Montreal.
Together we'll choose a location that feels true to your family and the experience you want to create.
Where do family photography sessions take place in Montreal?
Once you book, you'll receive a styling guide to help you choose outfits that photograph beautifully together.
I recommend neutral colours, natural textures, and clothing that allows everyone to move comfortably. The goal isn't perfectly matching outfits, but creating a timeless look that keeps the focus on your connection rather than trends.
What should we wear for our family, maternity, or newborn session?
For maternity photography, I recommend booking during your second trimester, with your session taking place between 28 and 34 weeks of pregnancy.
For newborn photography, it's best to reserve your session before your baby arrives so I can hold space around your due date. While many families choose to photograph those first two weeks, beautiful newborn images can be created whenever you're ready
When should I book my maternity or newborn photography session?
Absolutely. Grandparents and extended family are always welcome.
If you're planning a larger family session, simply let me know when you inquire. I'll recommend the collection that allows enough time for individual portraits, smaller family groupings, and everyone together without the session feeling rushed
